Bobby Sarkie (The Tartans, The Immortals, and the essential Better World) resurfaces with a previously unreleased version of Over and Over—a slow-burning roots cut flooded with sorrow, restraint, and dubbed-out atmosphere. This extended vocal mix differs from the Jah Son Invasion album take, with more upfront keys, softened bass, and a shadowy, hypnotic groove.

The B-side brings two deep Wackies instrumentals from the same tape reel. Rent Rebate transforms Junior Delahaye’s Working Hard For The Rent Man with Roland Alphonso’s nimble soprano sax and Barry Vincent’s subtly Spanish guitar flourishes. Mount Zion, a heavyweight version of Jackie Mittoo’s Drum Song, features Ras Menelik on hand drums and either Mittoo or Clive Hunt conjuring dub magic on organ (Wackie can’t quite remember).
