Mystical alchemic offerings from the mysterious John T. Gast under his Young Druid alias. Somehow successfully fusing the ancient sacred/secular sounds of medieval Europe with modern-day electronics – like medieval war drums mixed down by King Jammy.
There’s the serene pastoral melody of title track ’Young Druid’, the somber futurist funeral march of ’Fugue’, the heart-tugging elegy of album closer ’Lullaby’ – but there’s also the grime-infused menace of ’Myrda’ the sublime mournful trip-hop of Blue, the unsettling skittish trap music of ’Hey’… there’s something for everyone here.
This was a super-limited CD release (only 150 copies) on Gast’s own 5-Gate Temple imprint. We have one single, solitary CD up for grabs.
